Laser Spectroscopy Technology and Biomedical Applications

Abstract:

Over the past decade, laser spectroscopy, nonlinear optics and ultrafast optics gave rise to a vast new field of biomedical photonics that emerged as one of the most active frontiers of scientific research and clinical application. On this coming seminar, concepts and principles of the technologies will be introduced and some biomedical applications will be discussed.

Biography:

Henry Wu received his Ph..D. from Jilin University , China in 1988, majoring in Laser Spectroscopy. He had ten years research experiences in laser spectroscopy, nonlinear optics and ultrafast laser technology when he worked at Jilin University, MIT and University of Texas at Austin.
